The story begins in the year 11 of the Genesis era on Earth, when humans lost two-thirds of their population due to a great disaster 11 years ago.

Ice in Antarctica melts, and Atlandia, which supposedly collapsed 12,000 years ago reappears, and the winged Shadow Angels arise.
To ingest life energy called "Prana," biological-mechanical weapons called, “mythical beasts” were released one by one to human cities to capture humans.
At the same time, humans excavate three hybrid combat machines called the "Vectors" from the ancient seabed ruins to retaliate.
The Vectors are legendary weapons believed to have annihilated the Shadow Angels 12,000 years ago.
By uniting the Vectors, the "Mechanical Angel Aquarion" is formed.
